Allan Corfield Structures Ltd

ACS was set up in late 2020 to provide an in-house Structural Engineering service to the Award-winning Architects – Allan Corfield Architects.  In this short time ACS has already developed into a standalone firm with aspirations to become one of the UK’s leading consulting engineers.

ACS are on track to become market leaders in the design of Modern Method of Construction buildings (MMC), including closed panel timber frames,
SIPS and ICF. With the use of state-of-the-art BIM design and analysis software, ACS are able to seamlessly integrate with our in-house architecture team.

With the continued growth of ACS we regularly advertise for structural engineering positions in our Dunfermline office. You can find the current vacancies on this page, however if your perfect job isn’t listed and you think that you are ideally suited to the team, then please send in your CV!

Based in Fife, our team is led by the Technical Director & Structural Engineer David Gallagher. The focus is on continuing to implement the existing high standards of ACA’s current architectural services provided with an aligned and coordinated structural support to provide Clients with a holistic design approach. We share the office with the ACA team and we work collaboratively, maximising our projects’ potential and stimulating team member’s learning and development.

Why work with ACS?

We actively invest in our people and their development, supporting their passion and expertise in architecture and structural design. Our collaborative culture allows team members to exchange their experience and express their creativity.

We are a very friendly group, we support each other and we care about the wellbeing of our colleagues. We are focused and hard working, but equally enjoy a relaxed working environment with regular social events, such as Domino Pizza Fridays and staff nights out.

We specialise in designing low energy homes, which means that sustainability is at the core of our practice. We design homes around the fabric first approach utilising modern methods of construction, often meeting the strictest and most challenging Passivhaus standard.
